Specialist

Broadmeadows Primary School offers four specialist subjects for all year levels.

Health and Physical Education

Our Health and Physical Education program offers students a range of skill building from Foundation to Grade 6. For our younger students, our program incorporates gross motor activities. As students progress through our Physical Education program, they focus on enabling students to participate in different sports, independently and as part of a team. They continue to take part in activities that build their fitness levels to enable them to participate in team sports. An optional part of the Health and Physical Education program, students are offered to participate in swimming lessons at Broadmeadows Aquatic and Leisure Centre.

Visual Arts

Our Visual Arts program offers students a range of artistic skill building from Foundation to Grade 6. Our students work to produce a range of artistic pieces using a range of mediums including pencil, paint, collage, sculpture, construction, and ceramics. Their art work is displayed around the school for our community to see.

STEM

Our STEM program emerses our students in the specific knowledge and skills found in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Our students develop a key understanding of the field and learn about the different career opporunities. STEM at Broadmeadows Primary School aims to prepare our children for the fast growing future and give them the skills necessary to be successful in the modern world.

Performing Arts

Our Performing Arts program offers students a range of drama and acting skill building from Foundation to Grade 6. Students develop their public speaking and acting abilities. They participate in script writing and story boarding to produce a final product and performance for the school.
